Primary job responsibilities include:
• Evaluating copy for all points of fact
• Conducting research—including but not limited to phone interviews, Internet and Nexis searches, checking against reporter’s notes—in order to verify the accuracy of information contained in articles
• Working closely with editors and writers on copy changes, ensuring that changes are made and tracked through to final pages
• Apprising research editor of problems as they arise, keeping pace with work flow and deadlines

Candidates should be able to work independently and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
Reporting, research or fact-checking experience strongly preferred.
