Which network or newspaper or community group can outsmart the rest in a
competitive game of trivia?
Find out by joining AAJA-NY in its inaugural Trivia Bowl this spring!
Following in the footsteps of AAJA-LA and other AAJA chapters around the
nation, AAJA-NY is bringing the Trivia Bowl to the Big Apple.
Trivia Bowl is an interactive scholarship fundraiser that raises money for
scholarships and programming.
The event will be held at ABC’s TV1 Studio (30 W. 67th Street, New York, NY) on May 18, 2012 from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. ABC News’ Juju Chang will serve as the event’s emcee.
More than 150 people from companies like ABC, CNN, NBC, New York Times,
Time Inc. along community groups are expected to attend the sell-out event
that includes a free buffet dinner and a night of trivia competition.
Event proceeds go toward supporting students who pursue the
journalism profession through scholarships; providing increased training to
AAPI journalists so they can be effective leaders for positive change in
the industry with a commitment to diversity in the newsroom, and forging
stronger ties within the AAPI communities.
