Hello AAJA Members,
Don’t wait until its too late! Deadline to apply for UNITY SCHOLARSHIPS and STIPENDS is Monday, April 23rd at 5 p.m. AAJA-NY is awarding members $2,000 to attend the UNITY convention. If you are a student, unemployed or freelance journalist in need apply.
There are TWO different options for scholarships/stipends.
1. Student Scholarship
–giving away 2 registrations + $250 stipend each
2. Professional Stipend for unemployed/freelance journalists in need
–2 registrations + $250 stipend each
What YOU need to apply:
a) A 400-word essay on “What you hope to gain by attending the UNITY convention? How convention attendance can assist in your student life or professional career?”
c) Provide a resume and a short 40-word biography
d) List various AAJA events you’ve volunteered for
e) Must be a current AAJA member.
*IF CHOSEN to receive a scholarship/stipend, you will be required to volunteer during UNITY and AAJA-NY events.
